Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 11, 2026 · Last updated: May 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Dinnr LLC ("Dinnr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit childcarecostfinder.com (the "Site") and use our childcare cost calculator and related content (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
The Site is operated by Dinnr LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with a mailing address at 1207 Delaware Avenue, #1408, Wilmington, DE 19806, United States. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
Our calculator runs entirely in your browser. The zip code, household income, filing status, children's ages, and schedule preferences you enter are processed locally on your device to produce cost estimates. We do not transmit these inputs to our servers, and we do not store them in any account or database. If you copy a "Share Results" link, the underlying parameters are encoded in the URL — anyone with the link can reproduce the same calculator state.
If you email us, the contents of your email and any attachments are stored by our email provider so we can respond to you.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics partners automatically receive technical information, including:
- IP address (truncated by Google Analytics)
- Device type, browser type and version, operating system
- Referring URL, pages visited, time on page, navigation paths
- Approximate location derived from IP (country, region, city)
- Cookie and similar storage identifiers
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure how it is used, and serve advertising. Cookie categories include:
- Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function (e.g., remembering form inputs across page refreshes).
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) measure aggregate traffic and feature usage. - Advertising — Google AdSense and its partners set cookies to serve ads, including personalized ads in regions where allowed, and to measure ad performance.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may degrade some Site features.
4. Advertising and Third-Party Vendors
Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this Site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
Google AdSense may use the DoubleClick DART cookie and other identifiers to serve ads to you. More information is available in Google's advertising policies.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. Google's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Affiliate networks. Outbound links to childcare platforms, nanny payroll services, au pair agencies, and other partners may include affiliate tracking parameters. When you click an affiliate link, the destination site may set its own cookies. We do not control or have access to those cookies.
5. How We Use Information
- To provide and improve the Site and the calculator
- To analyze traffic and feature usage in aggregate
- To serve, measure, and report on advertising
- To respond to your inquiries and corrections submissions
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
6. Legal Bases (EEA / UK Visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site and measuring aggregate use; (b) consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising; (c) legal obligation where required.
7. Sharing Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We share limited technical information with:
- Service providers that host the Site, send email, and provide analytics
- Advertising partners (e.g., Google) that serve and measure ads
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights and safety
8. Your Privacy Rights
California (CCPA / CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
EEA, UK, Switzerland. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Other U.S. states (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others) provide similar rights. Use the email above to submit a request.
9. Data Retention
Calculator inputs are never sent to our servers, so we do not retain them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults (currently 14 months) and then automatically deleted. Email correspondence is retained for up to 36 months unless a longer period is required by law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults researching childcare costs. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, including TLS encryption for all Site traffic. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12. International Transfers
The Site is hosted in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for cross-border transfers.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
